Salvador DalÍ: From Painting To Capsule Wardrobe. (Ep.4)

I think science is the unseen way we understand the world around us and I’ve wondered for some time if a topic like this could be translated into a wardrobe. That’s why I chose this painting by Dali as inspiration.

Fascinated by nuclear physics and the new discoveries that had to do with atoms, he offered his take on it through a portrait called ‘Galatea of the Spheres’. The woman’s features are based on his Russian wife, Gala. The suspended spheres stand for atomic particles which form Galatea’s face.

Although all of the items in this capsule wardrobe have different styles, colors and textures, together they create a very cohesive, unusual and slightly futuristic wardrobe.
