Outfit ideas start with knowing your unique body and its proportions.
This free lesson will show you how to go beyond cute outfits by creating outfits that make you look your best.
This lesson from The Body Harmony Class will teach you how to create well-balanced outfits, what shapes of clothes to match, and how to find the silhouettes that suit you best.
We will also cover how to pick the right type of shoes for any type of silhouette you are going for.
The silhouette is an overall shape of your figure created by your outfit. By combining different cuts of tops and bottoms - like the right pair of plain jeans and the right top - you can create different silhouettes.
I recommend this lesson on outfit ideas to all Wonder Wardrobe students before they go clothes or shoe shopping. It will save you tons of money and time that you would otherwise spend on creating outfits that don't flatter your natural beauty.
There are tons of other great options that will make you look amazing besides tropes such as a chunky scarf, skinny jeans, denim pants and a leather jacket. Not everyone looks good in chunky boots or ballet flats.
Let’s do an exercise
Take a look inside your wardrobe and try to create at least 9 outfits with these 9 different silhouettes adding the appropriate shape of shoes. Note how comfortable you feel in each of them.
You can start by putting together a simple outfit and then incorporating any other items that can help you recreate the silhouette that flatters you the most.
You can use garments like trench coats, shoulder bags, white shirt, cotton blouses, basic clothes, simple shirts, black dresses, chunky knits, a t-shirt, basically whatever you can get your hands on.
Try using what you have in your wardrobe to replicate the silhouettes from the lesson. Start with a simple combination and then move on to new outfits.
This will give you a better idea of which cuts of clothing and type of shoes to buy and which to avoid in the future.
