O’Keeffe Inspired Capsule Wardrobe - 18 outfit ideas in a Classic Creative Style

Georgia O'Keeffe's Light Iris painting, the inspiration for the capsule wardrobe.

It’s time to extract some style and outfit ideas from another painting! This time we will look at Georgia O’Keeffe’s Light Iris from 1924.

I’m going to show you how to use the colors, details, and vibe of the painting to create a classic style capsule wardrobe with creative style elements.

Using only 5 tops, 2 bottoms, 1 jacket, 3 dresses, and 1 jumpsuit you can get at least 18 outfits. That’s the magic of the Wonder Wardrobe method!

Not to mention that with the help of accessories - which I’m sure some of you already have in your closet - these classic outfits can be styled more elegantly or casually. You don’t need the same clothes to do it, just clothes from your closet.

Become a Wonder Wardrobe student to learn how to incorporate these outfits in your wardrobe. All students get the brands list for free on our Discord!

How to Create a Classic-Creative Style Outfit

The Classic and Creative styles are very versatile and can fit many occasions. You could opt for more classic cuts and subdued tones in your day-to-day, or spice it up with a more creative outfit for when it’s time to make yourself noticed more in a professional setting.

A Classic style outfit means putting together cuts of clothes that are already established in fashion. The more organic the materials you pick, the more sustainable and elevated your look will be.

For a more creative style outfit, you will need to look at clothes that have an original cut, a unique texture or print, a special way of draping or a color that while makes you look your best ads another level of style to a classic look.

The creative style can also be defined further by having the right fashion accessories like unique jewelery, purses, shoes, scarves, hats, etc.

Just follow the styling tips in this art-inspired capsule wardrobe and you’ll understand what I mean. They will help you create classic looks with a creative touch.

Art-inspired or Not, You Deserve a Capsule Wardrobe for Your Lifestyle

Wardrobe boredom happens to almost all of us. We buy and buy, thinking this is it! This is the top or bottoms I will be wearing for years. But in reality, most women get bored with their closets and just have clutter of clothes they never wear again.

We tend to wear the same combo of jeans and sweatshirt over and over again. Not only that but in our search for our personal style - a way of expressing our individuality - we keep buying more.

And as we end up with a lot of clothes and nothing to wear, we lose interest and get bored. The circle of having no style repeats itself. Sounds familiar?

After so many years as a professional stylist, I’ve noticed the same patterns repeating and I had to do something about it. I called it The Wonder Wardrobe Course because what it does is bring back that fun aspect we all want out of fashion. And I’ve noticed how my students have gone from nothing to wear to wearing it all in weeks!

The WoW course will show you exactly how many outfits you need for your lifestyle, the best cuts to wear for your unique body, your best colors, and how to make everything interchangeable so you eliminate the nothing-to-wear stress from your life for good.
