The methods you will see in this video can be easily adapted to any wardrobe that lacks colour.
Wearing black is just the start of your colorful, interesting clothing journey.
After analysing people’s wardrobes since 2010, I’d say black is the most popular colour.
Lots of people think black is the easiest colour to wear. It doesn’t require much thought. It’s a practical outfit choice and it is always appropriate.
That might be partly true, but I think you still need to pay attention to the fashion style, because, let’s be honest, the total basic black outfit can get boring quickly.
If there is no fashion style, no design in your clothes, black will not make you look more beautiful or exciting, but most likely unnoticeable. I will show you a few great ideas on how to start wearing color. It's a great way to add cool or warm color to your existing wardrobe.

It looks cool I think, but it’s hard to imagine that anyone would be ok to wear only black every single day, right?
How to start to add color to the outfits you wear
If you wear a black outfit most of the time but would like to change it a little, you shouldn’t go for super bright colours immediately.
As you'll see bright colors are not the best ones to pair with other outfits you wear from the get-go. You might feel very uncomfortable in anything too light or bright in the beginning, and eventually, you’ll give up and go back to black pretty soon.
I would advise you to add colour gradually, in small doses, and maybe start with muted, darker colour combinations in your outfit.
See how it feels. If it feels good, keep it that way. If you think you are ready for more colour, go for it, add some more. How to start to add color to the outfits you wear.
How to add colorful accessories.
I think a great way and maybe the cheapest way to add colourful notes to your look is by mixing in different accessories - like a necklace - as color accents.
For some outfits, you can use as a colour accent shoes and a bag. For some other outfits you wear, you can try to add some nice necklace or earrings, especially if your top has a beautiful décolleté.
If you don’t want to invest too much money in new clothes, you can just try and add accessories. As you can see it’s quite enough to bring a colourful touch to your monotonous wardrobe.
How to add warm colour clothes
If you are ready to add more colour, then consider using more colourful clothes to break up the black outfits. It will not only freshen up your wardrobe but give you more options.
For example, for this black capsule, I will add only 2 colourful tops, 1 bottom, and another dress. I will also add three additional warm colours: muted orange, medium brown and dark brown.
